Visitors To Thailand Can Now Use Credit Cards To Pay For Food & Beverages At Vending Machines

The project is a result of cooperation between Visa Thailand, Kasikorn Bank (Kbank), and Vending Services Thailand, a full service vending operator in Thailand.

Currently accepting Visa, Master Card and JCB Cards, the authorization process is routed securely from the Nayax VPOS card reader to Kbank’s host enabling purchases within a few seconds without any additional charges to the consumer.

The machines can be found at a number of locations, among which are Gates C1 D1 D8 E1 E5 F1 G (4th Floor on International Departures), A1 and B1 on Domestic gates, as well as C and Visa on arrival, on the Arrival gates.

Vichit Sachathamarat CEO of Vending Services Thailand: “We have been trying to launch Credit Card payments at our vending machines for the last 3 years. With the help of Nayax we were able to launch the project within a few months and now enjoy the full benefits of the Nayax Telemetry and Cashless solution including alerts, reports and real time transaction data.”

“We are excited about launching our Cashless business in Thailand, and there is no better place to start than in Bangkok’s Suvarnabumi Airport,” said Nayax Asia Business Development Manager Mr. Omri Peled.

“The airport in Bangkok is a major Hub in Asia and is visited by thousands of international travelers every day, which do not always carry local cash with them. Our solution allows consumers to make secure and quick transactions using their bank card instead of relying on available cash on hand, or availability of change in the machines. As a result, machine operators can increase sales while reducing cash-handling operational costs.” So remember, on your next visit to Thailand, stop by a vending machine at the airport and use your credit card to conveniently enjoy the many delicious and refreshing products available.
